Then choose a body cream with woody notes such as Montale – Black Aoud body cream, so you can make a personal creation and easily switch from a fresh scent to a more intense, fuller scent. Applying a body cream under the scent ensures that the scent lasts longer on the skin, it actually works as a primer.
Combining different types of concentrations
We see combining concentrations more and more often in the perfume world. An absolute (an almost pure perfume, very highly concentrated and intense olfactory experience) combined with an Eau de Parfum or an Eau de Cologne. By using various concentrations you can play with the intensity of the scent or make the scent sparkle with the freshness of citrus notes. What should be taken into account?
The most important thing to consider when it comes to layering is the fragrance notes. To understand this, it is important to know that every scent is built from; wood and resin types, herbs and spices, flowers and roots, fruit and sometimes an edible nut such as chocolate or caramel (gourmand). It is important that the fragrance notes match if you want to layer them, think of floral + fruity = fresh, floral with a sparkling twist. Wood + spices = intense, this combination is often found in men's fragrances.
